I am a freelance illustrator and artist based in beautiful Belfast. For commissions and enquiries please contact me at info@sineadfarry.com
Hi! I’m Sinead and I am a freelance illustrator and artist living in Belfast, Northern Ireland with my children and dog. My studio is in a corner of my kitchen, overlooking my back garden.
Line and wash is my favourite illustration technique. I use brush pens for the line and watercolour or ink for the wash.
I studied Visual Communication at the University of Brighton and Communication Design at the Royal College of Art, specialising in Illustration on both courses. My art studies began when I did my Foundation course at the art college at York Street in Belfast (the year that Echo and the Bunnymen played in the Conor Hall!).
Following a career in design, layout and presentations based in London, I took a break when my eldest child was born, moved to Belfast and now focus on illustration. I also paint and am a Diploma holder with the Ulster Society of Women Artists.
Illustration clients include Women’s News, Belfast City Airport Watch, Diocese of Armagh, and Dromona.
Work published in Critical Bastards magazine Issue 7. Winner CAJ 30th Anniversary T-shirt design competition.
